"This is my home/school work computer. The photo is of my chocolate lab, Gravy, who found a turtle in his yard. He's a big wuss. I like this photo because even though he's barking at the turtle, it almost looks as if the turtle is on the attack. I try to keep my desktop clutter-free, but I'm in the midst of thesis writing and other end-of-the semester craziness so I keep these files easily accessible." SF, USA
"I don't think I would ever buy a cat... but if I were to ever change my mind: this is the one I would get - it's called a Bengal and is very smart (and expensive because it is a descendant of a wild Asian Leopard Cat)." "so i sent you a picture of some pears i have at work, now here is a pair of monitors that are my home computer set up. the fuzzy picture is a close up of my husband's face when he dressed up as a zombie for halloween. i like how it's pretty abstract but i can see his creepy zombie eye in the bottom right corner. the fuzzy creature is my dog, katy wetzel, eating a carrot from the garden." JG, USA

"I just changed my desktop for the first time in 2 years. I think it might make me a little dizzy, but I'm going to go with it for now."--AMM Portland, OR
"The picture is of a place whose name i probably can't spell and am too lazy to look up but in close approximation is "meringsport". It's in South Africa but I'm even too lazy to find out where precisely. I took this picture 2 summers ago when i spent a month driving around SA with my South African boyfriend. We drove through the meringsport because he knows how much i love geology, and the rock structures along this (essentially mini canyon) are amazing. We'd parked the car and gotten out to look at a waterfall, this shot was taken on the way back. It's not the world's best picture, but I like it because it feels kind of cozy - cozy like rainy days and enclosed spaces... p.s. the files are all job or class related - 2L year of law school has turned me into a kind of one-dimensional person, at least from a desktop perspective" KM, USA
